I was shy and a little intimidated by Uncle John, actually by all men, but thinking back now ... I really don't think it was intimidation, but admiration. Melanie and I are saddened to hear of the loss of John. He never failed to stop and chat no matter where you'd see him. My parents enjoyed many camping days with him and Linda at Alpine Lake. He could talk about anything and seemed he was constantly looking for new ventures. The Couse's were part of the Fairground Hill family for years. Many great times were had in that neck of the woods.
