Not sure what to say?

John lit up every room he ever entered! Heaven must be that much brighter for his presence. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor and fun,his repertoire of show tunes sung with gusto, his compassion and I will always remember his courage. "Life is not measured by the length of our years, but in the use we make of them". Well done, John.

Dear DeWitt family. John was incredible and touched everyone he came into contact with. I just can't say his name without smiling. He truely made a difference in the lives of us all. We miss you man! Love Frank & Gina Slitti

John, was a friend and a colleague. His smile and demeanor would always light up the room. He was a class act, anyone that knew him enjoyed his style and sense of humor. He will be missed, but never forgotten. All my love, Lucy Nevels DTW Purser

One special memory I have of John was the morning I came down to the hotel lobby in Paris about an hour early for crew pick up, as I wanted to make a quick trip to the market. There was John, sitting having coffee, as handsome as could be, I might add. I asked him what he was doing down there so early. His reply was that he liked to leave his room early so that the room could be cleaned and the inbound crew wouldn't have to wait for their rooms after flying all night. That was just the kind,...

Iheard of John through his Friends. He made this Earth a better place to live on,through his acts of Kindness,Strength,&Goodwill. He hasn't quit flying,he will be our guardian Angel watching over us.
May your Angel bring you Peace.

To the De Witt family,

I was so sorry to hear of John´s passing. He was so loved among his co-workers. I have met John when he was still based in Boston in 1989 when I started to fly as an interpreter for NWA on the Amsterdam route.
It was always such a pleasure and great fun to fly with him, it breaks my heart that God took such a wonderful person to him. Heaven will be a better place with him in it!
There is a bright star shining out there and keeping an eye on...

Stephen & I were very saddened to hear of the loss of John. We were very fortunate to consider John one of our closest and dearest friends both on and off duty. He had a Heart of Gold, made us laugh, and easy on the eyes too!! We'll never forget you John,
Love, STEPHEN DYCZKOWSKI & DAVID GJERDING (DTW FA'S)

I knew and loved John from the moment I met him and was blessed with having an incredible, fun time with him both at the L.A. base and in Detroit. Some people shine a little brighter than the rest of us, John was one of these.I can't think of him without smiling. He will be sorely missed.
