Not sure what to say?

He was a great teacher and friend.

John you live on in my memory ! You lived well embracing life . Rided on !

Ginny I am so deeply sorry for your loss and hope you know that despite the loss of contact since Hersh passed, you and John were very close to my heart and the hearts of my kids. I am sorry we didn't have the chance to say goodbye but I know John wouldn't have wanted a fuss. I hope that wherever John and Hersh are now they are having endless and wonderful conversations pontificating on everything and anything. They were a pair, weren't they? Much love to you. I'm so thankful you reached out...

I am so sorry to read of John's passing. John taught me backpacking and camping with the Outdoor Club.John always told great and funny stories and loved that VW bug 1960.

I attended South Philadelphia High School from 1966-1969. Mr. DiFiori was my 10th grade Biology teacher. He was interesting, caring, and had a sense of humor that seemed to draw even the most disgruntled student close to him. I will always remember him fondly. May he rest in peace knowing he made a positive difference in the lives of others.

Upper Darby High School Class of 1951

My sincere condolences on John's passing. I taught with John at Southern from 1966 to 1972. A nicer gentleman and more professional educator can not be found. I can only imagine how precious he was to his friends and family.

Dear Ginny: So sorry to learn of your dear John's passing. What a wonderful neighbor he was. May you be comforted by family and friends.
