John Vincent Donovan, 74, of Richmond died on Monday, December 3, 2012. He was born to the late Charles D. and Hannah C. Donovan on June 12, 1938 in Boston, Mass.
John was a graduate of Boston College University, Class of 1961. He was a retired professor of Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
John enjoyed reading, going to the YMCA, watching the Boston Red Socks, and spending time with his many friends.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 3:00pm at the Woody funeral home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Virginia Food Bank or the John Rolfe YMCA.

I will miss you. You were always so nice to my family and a source of positive energy and intelligent, impassioned conversation. I will never forget your Irish quote to me when I graduated from college. I think its just as relevant now:
