John DOUBMAN

John was a work colleague for a brief two years and a friend for many years after that. His friendship transcended the sorts of the things that drive people apart today. I was so very sorry to read about the death of your husband/father/granddad. Your family has always been one of my most favorite Gladwyne families and one of my greatest friends. Barbara, when I saw you a few days ago, I had no idea about John if he was ill or anything. I was shocked to hear of his passing. Josephine and I never got chance to know him since we left 34 Wingstone lane due to our illness. Our sympathies to you. Ted McGurk.

I was deeply saddened by this news.
I was at Harriton from 64 - 66, I had John as my English teacher the first year he was at Harriton and then three years as my Lacrosse coach.

I was so happy in 1964 when he told us he was starting a lacrosse team...I had played at camp the previous two years and figured I would never get to play in High School having to go to Harriton instead of LM.
