I would like to give my heartfelt condolences to the family. I know what John is going through. I deal with a lot of mental. Illnesses myself. I never knew John before until today. But now I will stop and talk with John when I'm out on the trail again.

John and I met in 2017, when we worked for AR DOC as Probation/Parole Officers. We attended ALETA (law enforcement academy) together and became fast friends. John's sense of humor was infectious. We were both soldiers, and I especially enjoyed his stories about his time in Korea. After ALETA, we'd go to lunch in NLR and my wife and I met with his wife one evening (his kids were amazing).
