John and I met in 2017, when we worked for AR DOC as Probation/Parole Officers. We attended ALETA (law enforcement academy) together and became fast friends. John's sense of humor was infectious. We were both soldiers, and I especially enjoyed his stories about his time in Korea. After ALETA, we'd go to lunch in NLR and my wife and I met with his wife one evening (his kids were amazing). John had an incredibly large heart. His giving spirit to the Falcon basketball boys was contagious. His personality energized the room. He had so much more to give. I will miss him.
