Not sure what to say?

I lived next door to John in 2010, he was an amazing man and at my young age ignited a fire in me to be interested in politics, local and national. He taught me what one person can do and how it's possible to make a large impact especially if you follow your heart. I worked for John Durkin for about a year during that extraordinary double Election and, living overseas, have only now learned of his passing away. His energy, idealism, and ability to gather around him some of the most able, diverse and devoted people was extraordinary and I miss it acutely now, decades later. My heart goes out to Pat and his family, and he and they will live on in my memories.

I miss John Durkin -- his wit, fighting spirit and decency. And more personally -- his political advice, old stories and love for fishing in the North Country. I hold his family in my thoughts and his ambitions for our country in my dreams.
