Dear Eaton Family,

We, the parents in Compassionate Friends send you our heartfelt condolences; we know that you are heartbroken by this terrible loss. Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. In Tallahassee, we meet monthly to support each other in our grief and love of our children. Our meetings are from 7-9 PM on the second Monday of each month at St Stephen Lutheran...

I met John soon after I moved to Tallahassee, and I didn't know many people. John became like a big goofy older brother that I never wanted, and now I find it hard to imagine life having never met him. Whenever we would go out and play pool, he was always my teammate. He didn't care that I couldn't play at all- he would rather lose with me than see me sit the game out. That spoke volumes on John's character. He would give anything to see his friends and family happy. We would have long...

Very sorry to hear of sweet John's passing. He was a beautiful young man and the world will miss his presence.

Inquisitive mind
with a heart of gold,
The sparkles of his eyes
are alive in my soul.

John was one of my best friends. He will always be remembered by all of us close to him and the lives he influenced. I was his roommate for the past three or so years. We spent many nights up until daybreak talking. He was intelligent, eccentric, intense, and often misunderstood.

He enjoyed talking about topics surrounding economics, mathematics, games, philosophy, friendship, relationships, and the subtleties of human emotion. He was often more of a listener than a speaker and didn't...

Susan, Tom, Robert, Diane and families, Words cannot express how devastated we are by the news that John has passed. John was such a bright light for Mrs.Vick and she was so delighted by his visits. He was likewise such a wonderful friend to us too, especially Tommy and Kelsey. You can be sure he is singing and playing his flute to the delight of God and the heavenly throngs. Our prayers and love to you all, Wylene, Gary, Kelsey and Tommy

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I remember him as a fun youngster back in Kindergarten with Kimberly. May God be with you all,
Becky Overton

John was a great friend and I was happy to have been in school with him from Gilchrist to Lincoln. I will miss seeing him when I would come home to visit, but I know we will see him again.

So sorry to hear the news. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
