Rev. Dr. John H. Foster, was a man of vision and dedication. He held great love for his Lord Christ Jesus, his family, his church and his community. He was a humble man. I wish to extend sympathies on behalf of the family of Will and Hattie Riddle in Knoxville, Tenn. in the passing of such a great person and spiritual leader. We met Rev. Foster while he was the minister at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville in the 60's.

Your husband, father, grandfather was a blessing for many folk. His work will live on in the minds and lives of many forever. Being in attendance at his Homegoing this song comes to mind. May the Work I've Done Speak for Me.

Please accept my condolences. It was his support of the Tidewater Metro Baptist Layman's League that I knew Reverend Foster. His hand was always outstretched to assist us with anything we needed to do. Truly he will be missed but his example will shine on for always.
