John, Last night Shauna stopped by to see us. It was so good to see her, but I know how much she must miss you. I am sure you are there watching over your family that you love so much. Your spirit lives on no matter what, I am sure your family will see signs of you reaching out to them. We all know that you are fine, that God saw to it that you came home to him. We all feel the sorrow for ourselves, we want things to stay as they are, to be able to have that person be a part of our every day...

It is obvious looking through this guestbook how many lives Capt. John has touched, and there are many more that did not sign. He meant alot to people accross the country, we all know that he meant the most to you guys and I pray that the Lord will guide you through these tough times and that you seek comfort in him.

I worked with John from 2004-2007 when I was stationed in Cleveland, OH. He was certainly a wealth of knowledge at the office, but he was also someone with whom you could share your troubles and triumphs. He was a wonderful listener who always had a smile on his face and I can't say that I ever heard him complain. His life was dedicated to giving, in many ways.
