I met John only briefly through his wife and long time friend of mine Carole Garcia. Their deep devotion to each other and to their family and careers in ecology was a model of timeless commitment in today's world. May he rest in peace and flyfish while there.

Toto you meant more to me than you can ever know. You were my cousin, father figure, mentor and companion. You instilled in me a love and respect for life, beauty, the planet and all flora and fauna. You allowed me to tag along with you through a thousand adventures into the wilds of Old Florida. Toto you were one of the best uncle's any one could have you were the most thoughtful person taking care of everyone needs. Most of all thank you for always making sure my Mom and your Sister's had what they needed . You always listened when someone needed something. Honoring a wonderful uncle of all the many blessings however great or small to have had you for an uncle was the greatest one of all my uncle is a success who has lived well accomplished greatly laughed often and loved by many his journey in this life has ended claiming the greatest reward with Jesus our lord.
