John and I were in the 1965 graduating class of CHHS together as well as members of the same youth church group for a number of years. John and I were roommates at Stony Brook University in Long Island N.Y in 1966. After he got out of the Army, he and Linda were at my wedding to Marcia in 1971 in Smithtown, NY. John taught me about Go. Then we lost touch. Marcia and I are still married and live in Florida. Tonight, I was playing with my new phonograph turntable. John was a regular at the national Go tournament every summer. He gave off a warming vibe to all and was very kind to me and my wife. I speak for many when I say he will be missed.
