February 22, 1956 - February 20, 2020 Rumor has it that John Hackworth passed away peacefully in his sleep. However, anyone who knew John would know instantly that this cannot possibly be accurate. In fact, John's untimely death came in the heat of battle, valiantly fighting a horde of rampaging...

Not sure what to say?

I still cannot believe you’re gone, and I miss you so much. I wish getting tea at the Huntington hadn’t kept getting turned into “later”. Later never came, but I promise I’ve seized every day since February 20, 2020. You taught me so much, and I promise I’ll never forget any of it or you.

Larger than life. That was John. Who somehow was able to be a conservative catholic who wanted to take care of people, visited with monks, and was a detective. He defied many of my perceptions about certain groups- -namely police and religious folks. So much heart, honesty, and living his truth. My love, my darlin´ dear. I miss you more than I can say, still. I don´t think that will ever go away. Most people never find what we had. Ours is a fairytale love, including the tragedy. I will write of us, so that the world doesn´t forget. Yours always, Peachy

Miss your wit and wisdom, my friend. Your passing still feels like a throat punch after two years. You were one of a kind. Requiescat in pace.

All My Love JPH.

I Love you John, SLA

You will always hve my Love John Paul Hachworth, SLA

John was a great man with a beautiful wife and family. I don't know if he knew just what a great writer he was. I know I wasn't the only one who would get up first thing in the morning and last thing at night to see what he wrote that day on Facebook. One day he posted a picture of Peachy sitting on the engine of the car working on it. I never knew WHY I loved that picture so much. Now I feel, with them, you can be whoever you want to be and be accepted. That is a great feeling. We will all...
