We are so sorry for your great loss. I met John in a Bethesda prayer group before I met David, and we just kept in touch over time. Eventually, Father Haughey performed our wedding service in DC back in 1985 those many years ago. We so appreciated John's wisdom and friendship and we will sorely miss him. John was a celebrity in academia, but 45 years ago, he became a member of our prayer group, and no person in it was untouched by the wealth of gifts he brought to us. He was our brother in Christ, taught us so much about communion with God and affirmed the potential in each person.
