Dear John, Robert, and Family, my father, Robert Power grew up with John in Ypsilanti. I know he always counted John as a close friend. I remember visiting John and Eleanor at Orchard Lake in the early 1960's. Please accept my sincere expression of sympathy for your loss. Thomas Power. Chelsea, Michigan

I am eldest daughter of Ann Wortley Climer and I very fondly remember times with John and Eleanor at their Orchard Lake home. Eleanor helped me in my genealogy journey in the 70s and our cousin, Ronnie Moe Meade is following in those footsteps! I send warm condolences and hugs to all of your family ... We have lovely memories of John and Eleanor on Walma Dr. in Orchard Lake. We lived across the street & had 2 little girls. Cara waited for each visit from Karen to see her grandparents. The Haviland house is long gone & our children are grown but we remember them both with the kindest thoughts. Pete & Michelle Campbell, Erica Campbell Chesney and Cara Campbell Norton.
