Not sure what to say?

I'm so deeply sorry to see that Dr. Hewitt passed away last year. He was such an incredible person! He was more than a physician...he was a dynamic energy, a compassionate ear, sharer of adventures, comedian, and endearing human being. He was so special, that I switched doctor's offices 3 times, so I could remain his patient. He was a caretaker of human spirits by nature and genuinely left his mark on all the souls he met. I am eternally grateful to have been one of them!

You name it. We could share anything with this renaissance man of empathy, intellect, and the biggest of hearts. A child of the 60s, he always made time for a clip from Bob Dylan to Who Killed JFK to video clips from Motown, blue-eyed and darker than blue. His goodness, kindness, and generosity of spirit remain forever in my heart. Hidee hidee hidee hi, neighbor

May the peace which passes all understanding sustain and support you.

Sending condolences and love to you and the family. So sorry to learn of John's passing.

"Aunt Vivian" and Family,

John taught us many things about caring for and respecting each other. I can recall the many experiences when he would share his passion for African-American art, music and culture, and photography. He...
