Cannot believe it has been a year. Gods speed my friend. Your girls miss you like crazy..

So saddened by the passing of John. I knew John while he attended Hamilton College. He was a joy to know, always had an eager smile and a great attitude.

My prayers ( from Canada) are with the Higgins family.

I just met Isa this year at Geneseo. She is bright, clever, friendly and I am lucky to have found someone like her. She lights up the room no matter where she goes, and she is intelligent and creative beyond belief. She is one of those people who you've only known for a few weeks, but feel like you've known her your whole life. I am proud of her as I am sure her family is, too. I was just advised of John's passing by a friend in Syracuse. I worked with John at BS&K when he first got out of law school. He was a class act - hard working, smart, principled - his smile could light up a room, and he could really sing!! My thoughts and prayers to his wife and daughters.

Mi spiace molto per la morte di tua padre, Jasmine, Issa, e tua marito, Katja. I wish I'd known John better, but I do remember an incredible smile and a warm heart. Feel him in your heart, and see him in your dreams. The beach will be waiting for all of you, and we will be there, too.

Dear Katja and the Higgins Family, we are very sad at the loss of our friend John. May he rest in perfect peace, and may the Good Lord grant him a choice place in His kingdom. We will keep John in our prayers.

We can't imagine the sorrow in your hearts. It doesn't seem real that Eric is gone. You three boys were the center of your mom's universe, and she was so very proud of each of you. We have so many wonderful memories of our days working in the NYS Senate. We were away last week or we would have been with you. All of you are in our hearts and prayers.

My sympathies go out to John's wife, his children, and the Higgins family. I knew John from his days at Bond, Schoeneck & King. I just remember his smile and how he made me laugh all the time. Loved that guy! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob and Kevin: Deepest condolences on the loss of Eric. I worked with your mom in the Senate and remember you all as "little" guys. You've lost a lot this year.
