Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to Susan and family for the loss of John. I just found out the sad news. John and I were close friends at BSJHS and KHS in Hampton. We also worked together for 2 summers at Pembroke Construction where we experienced many humorous moments. I went off to Texas A&M followed by flying for the U.S. Navy and then a career with Delta Airlines. I last saw John at our 10 year KHS reunion. John was a great guy and was always smiling. My deepest sympathy. May I...

Cheryl and I knew John since 1992. We send our heartfelt condolences to Susan and the family.

Bobby and Roselyn Graves were neighbors with John and Susan for 30 years. Truly a blessed couple and we shared many wonderful moments together that we will always remember and cherish. Our condolences for the family and Gods peace, grace and comfort be with you all.

Many good memories of the college days at Richmond of John. He was one of the nicest people you would ever meet. We were pika fraternity brothers. Condolences to you, Susan and the rest of your family. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend and brother.

So sorry to hear about this. John was a great friend and fraternity brother at the University of Richmond and was one of my favorite human beings. I had not seen John much since graduation but I will always remember his mellow demeanor, sense of humor and huge smile. Heaven's Hardbyball team must have needed someone to run the end across. RIP, my friend. Susan, sorry for your loss and to John's children, he was a wonderful human being.

So sorry to hear this. Joh was a great, great friend and fraternity brother at the University of Richmond and a super teammate of mine on numerous fraternity sports teams. I had not seen "Shoes" often since graduation but will never forget his gentle manner, sense of humor and smile. I guess heaven must have needed someone to run the end across in Hardyball games up there.
