John was a good classmate of mine throughout high school. I remember him as always being friendly and a smile for everyone. I lost contact with him but reading the comments of others, I see he continued to be that "good guy" throughout his life. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends...

Shared high school classes with John. He was a great guy & always kind. May he rest in peace.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

I met John when his Elementary school (Laboratory) and mine (Patten) joined at the long-since closed Clark School on Jefferson Avenue for 7th and 8th grades before entering Trinity as the last class to attend the "old school." I had the pleasure of re-connecting with John at the 50th reunion of the THS 1966 class in 2016. John was a quiet, honorable and dependable man who will be missed.

I met and had the good fortune to work with John when I was president of the local Chamber of Commerce. We had programs on economic education in both the Greater Latrobe and Derry Area schools, and John was our Greater Latrobe faculty liaison for many years. Following his retirement, we invited John to do several projects (mostly repairs) around our home over the years. John was a great guy of high integrity; a tall, soft-spoken man with a strong presence. You will be missed, John. ...

John made me laugh many times in his world cultures class my junior year in high school. Was a good teacher but better person. Rip. Joe Calabrace. Class of 1974
