John Martin Jereck

Dear Judy, I am sure you do not remember me either but John was my cousin through my grandma Barbara Yakin Safranko. Her brother George Yakin gave away John's sisters and I was actually at your wedding at age 4. Sending you and the family deepest sympathy. Wow did John really resemblepM his mother!

I was sorry to hear of John's passing. Judy, even though you probably don't remember me, we met a long time ago when I visited the Jerek family with my parents and my husband back in the 70's. Dear Family, while I didn't know John personally, as St Philip graduate and having attorney brothers, I knew of John.
I want to share a memory. At one of big St Phil Alumni Homecoming gatherings, before school was remodeled in more recent years, I saw an adult John greet a former high school teacher. Memories are taking me all the way back to Orchard Ave. And then in later years when I worked at the Justice Center, it always made my day to see John and chat with him a bit. What a delight it was to see him mount the successful Urbandale Speeds defense in Judge Reed's courtroom. We all chuckled about that for years. May peace be with you and your family.
