I worked with John, and he was a great guy. Always full of energy, always on the go. I still have a photo of John, along me and about 3 other McCann staff, with our Peachtree Road Race shirts on - over our dress shirts and ties - taken (I guess) at work the week after we'd all run the race.
I also remember one business trip I went on with John. For some reason (a Coke bottler?), we went to Lancaster PA, and as John had been there before, we went to a great Italian restaurant and drank WAY too much wine. I recall barfing my guts out back at the hotel. The next morning, John was chipper as ever, having run the hotel nature trail in the morning, while I was so hung over I could hardly move without hurting my head! Amazing guy.

John and I first met when we worked together at McCann-Erickson over 25 years ago. He was such a great guy and a pleasure to know. We kept in contact on and off through the media world since...networking and comparing stories and experiences.
My heart goes out to all his family during this difficult time.

Craig Briggs and Tim Coleman said it well for all of us who worked with John and knew him as our friend and
co-worker at McCann Atlanta.
John was not only respected for his professional talents, everyone at McCann - and I'm sure at every place he ever worked - very much liked him personally. His kindness, trustworthiness, even temperment and great sense of humor made him a pleasure to be around.
We really are shocked and saddened by John's passing. G-d bless him always.
John's family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know he was always so proud of his family. I hope remembering that John was so much admired and well liked by friends and co-workers, brings even some small measure of comfort now and always.

John and I spent a lot of days and nights working together at McCann-Erickson. John always brought a smile and insight to the business we represented. Everyone appreciated John...just a really great guy and good family man. John's family always came first.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
I will keep John and his family in my prayers.

As his neighbor, I remember John as a warm, friendly, sincere, and pleasant man - a person with such gracious demeanor that you were always drawn to walk over and chat with him. We are shocked and saddened by his loss. The Mansour family extends its condolences to the Joyce family and hopes they find peace and strength through their faith during this very difficult time.

I worked with John at McCann-Erickson, and really enjoyed our collaborations - easy-going, great sense of humor (and of course great media man). Whilst I have lived outside the US for a long while now, I remember John very fondly and will miss him. My sincerest sympathies go out to family and friends.
