Not sure what to say?

As a kid, my Dad took me to the Met to see the Twins. Johnny Klippstein pitched in alot of the games I saw as a little kid. He always seemed so composed and older than many of his teammates. As I enter my 50's I still remember and think of the players I saw as my friends, even though I never knew them personally. Many great memories of Klippstein and Worthington.....E. Hulst

Our deepest sympathy to the family for your loss of John. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in this most difficult of times, but in the hopes he will be remembered as the warm, wonderful and true person we all knew him to always be.

John and I attended the same Senior High School in Silver Spring, Md. and whereas he was several years my senior, I admired him so very much for his gentle spirit and friendliness. This world is diminished by his passing but I will always cherish his memory.

You have my deepest sympathy due to the death of your loved one John.

I was deeply saddened by Mr. Klippstein's death. During the 1980's, while John worked as a packaging salesman in the Chicagoland area, I was one of his customers. Being an avid Cub fan, my most favorite memory was when John took me out to lunch. Here was a famous baseball player, who pitched in TWO World Series, and HE took me out to lunch. WOW!!! When I left the company, John signed a baseball for me. It will always be one of my most prized possessions. Rest in Peace. You are watching the...

John was a high school classmate in Silver Spring, MD. We played baseball and basketball together and belonged to the same vocal group. One of the greatest things about John was his friendliness and the fact that he never grew too big for his childhood roots. We will all miss him.

Dear Mary Ann, Mary Jo, Barbara and John - My prayers, support and sympathy to each of you as you experience the reality of the death of your husband/dad. You are a wonderful family and when seeing your family name in print good memories of St. Eugene came back. Hope each of you is fine - be assured of my prayers in the days ahead. Take care and know that the Lord's peace and presence are with you in a special way these days. Love Sr. Elaine

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May John rest in peace. I'm sure he is lending a helping hand to the Cubs. He was a gentleman and held his head high to the end. We will always have fond memories of John. Rosewood Physical Therapy.

Dear Mary Ann and family-we are so sad at Alden Poplar Creek to hear of John's passing. He really touched our lives and we are so glad we got a chance to know him. God bless you and your family in the loss of a wonderful man.
