I first met Johnny in the summer of 1963 while we were both in lock down at San Marcos Academy. Johnny and I became fast friends from the first time we met. Johnny began immediately discussing the vision for the development of the Stockyards and events like Blimp races and TV Hall of Fame, etc. with a passion and conviction to convince me to come down and take a look for myself. (Holt felt I might be of help and interested because of my involvement in the development of Branson, Missouri.). When I got there,...
