John F. Lonon

Karen, Kyle and Amy: I'm so sorry about John. He was such a great person...always cheerful and helpful. We worked together at AGFD for several years, and I went to Carl Hayden HS with John. May God give you strength and peace knowing that John is no longer suffering.

John Lonon is among others a part of my past and my future. I knew John when he worked in the basement at Deer Valley South with Jack Thompson. They got a pallet stuck in the elevator after they finished a printing job. I had only seen John get mad once in all the years I knew him, and all I could do was laugh and he got even madder. John Lonon and I shared a lot in our years at the agency, including spending a lot of time working in the civil defense shelter in the basement of Deer Valley South. We used the big room next to the print shop there as the temporary space for draw processing. John could really knock out the work and was always a smiling, pleasant co-worker and friend. John was a very nice guy, always happy and always smiling. He did a heck of a job for the Department and will be missed. Condolences to the family. Heaven's gain our loss.
