John Robert Malusky, 61, of Gulf Shores, Ala., passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at South Baldwin Hospital in Foley, Ala.
He was born April 27, 1963, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to John Joseph and Rachel (Milazzo) Malusky, and was raised in the Pittston area for 17 years before moving to Marietta, Ga. John was a graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga. John attended the University of South Alabama and the University of Central Florida, and graduated with a Master of Science degree and certificate of leadership.
John served in the Navy from 1981-1986, and the Army Reserves from 1985-1992. He served in Desert Storm.
John was a dedicated, hardworking individual who worked as a director of lab services for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling across country, enjoying life.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Joseph Malusky.
Survivors include his mother, Rachel Milazzo Malusky; sisters: Sara Ann Howard and Stephanie Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with John's wishes, services are private.
