Not sure what to say?

Ten years without you has been harder than words could ever do justice explaining. I have had many trials and errors, but I have realized that my ability to get back up no matter what life throws at me - to never fall down and stay down - that ability comes from being your son. Being raised by a man who was as strong as you were but more importantly had an immense sense of empathy for others - never failed to reach out his hand when someone else needed it - it is indescribable the impact of...

Even though we only met a little over a year ago, I've alway felt a tight bond with you. Maybe it's because of our similar journeys but I tend to think it's because you're one of a kind and your crazy sense of humor.. I'm proud to have gotten the chance to know you, to laugh with you, and to call you a friend...

To my old school mate! You were a wonderful husband and father! Have not seen you recently but thought of you often. Was so hard for you after Carol was gone. I am Praying for your children and know they will carry you on in there hearts! RIP John! Enjoyed the time we caught up at my sister Dee's 4th of July parties.

JR, You were a very good friend and unfortunately we lost touch over the years. So sad to hear of your passing especially after Carol passed away about 8 years ago. Hopefully I can attend your funeral tomorrow. God Bless you and May you Rest in Peace.

I love you buddy. Thank you for giving me joy over the last 30 years. I will never forget you.

I grew up with John. He was a great guy! A great friend! We stayed in touch through out the years. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers our with his family.

I will always love you my brother. You will always be my BEST FRIEND. You will be in my heart forever and I will be there for your beautiful children.

Worked with Sgt Mateer when he was in the 3rd pct. He was a great guy. I wanted to let his children know how proud he was of his family. May he rest in peace.

Rest in Peace
