Ten years without you has been harder than words could ever do justice explaining. I have had many trials and errors, but I have realized that my ability to get back up no matter what life throws at me - to never fall down and stay down - that ability comes from being your son. Being raised by a man who was as strong as you were but more importantly had an immense sense of empathy for others - never failed to reach out his hand when someone else needed it - it is indescribable the impact of being raised by such a man. It has given me what I can only describe as invincibility. Because you were invincible, dad. You are.
I will be seeing you again one day, dad.
In that, I have great faith.

Even though we only met a little over a year ago, I've alway felt a tight bond with you. Maybe it's because of our similar journeys but I tend to think it's because you're one of a kind and your crazy sense of humor.. I'm proud to have gotten the chance to know you, to laugh with you, and to call you a friend...
