Not sure what to say?

John had a huge impact on my life as a young man. I remember always seeing Pat and Betty walking their dog. My name is Ray Pate, I've known John since 1979, In fact I was there when he met his wife Maureen. It feels so strange to call him John I always knew Him as Chicken Man a story that we shared with others many times and laughed about so many times. I want to say how sorry I am to hear about this. To Maureen and his family I just want to say I'm here if you need me for anything. He will be missed, Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need me. Again so very sorry.

I could tell how proud he was of his family, and how close they were (despite his put-on "cranky" demeanor). And I know my husband and late son Jimmy appreciated the folks you brought to McNamara's when they played there. I'm so sorry for your...
