John Thomas Midkiff

I was privileged to know John, and his family. All good folks, and I have good memories of my time with them and helping work cattle on his ranch with Jeff Connor. All good wishes to his family.

I am saddened at John's passing. I don't quite remember when I first met John, but he was always quick to extend his hand and say hello. A good friend of mine, Jeff Conner, worked for John at his ranch south of Midland some years ago. He helped take care of the oil wells, cattle, sheep, and goats. I was always pleased to get a call from Jeff, at John's suggestion, to load a horse and come down to help work, or rotate cattle.
