I remember Johnny as a young child. He was always laughing and great at giving hugs He loved playing outdoor. He especially loved his mother Peggy. I lost touch with the family when I moved to Arkansas.

I didn't know John's name until I read the article in the sports page today. But, I remember playing hockey against him. He had a knack for being around the net and always frustrated other teams by putting in rebounds and deflecting pucks. I'd see John at the Blues games we'd always smile and say hi to each other. John became a friend of mine through Ice & Fuel West. He became a friend when I needed one the most. We talked about hockey & Diana & Yuri for hours. He was loving and proud with his family. I loved hearing his stories. He was one of the nicest, most genuine persons I've ever met. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May peace be yours.
