I remember Johnny as a young child. He was always laughing and great at giving hugs He loved playing outdoor. He especially loved his mother Peggy. I lost touch with the family when I moved to Arkansas.

I didn't know John's name until I read the article in the sports page today. But, I remember playing hockey against him. He had a knack for being around the net and always frustrated other teams by putting in rebounds and deflecting pucks. I'd see John at the Blues games we'd always smile and say hi to each other. It was a hockey thing where we never played on the same team, never introduced ourselves, but shook hands after every game- high fived each other when passing each other after a big Blues win. I lost my only child 8 years ago and shared my story of loss with John. We don't know how we can continue after loss. The pictures, memories, and shared stories are gifts. My thoughts and prayers are with John's family. I hadn't seem him for long time, unfortunately I just found out today why.

John became a friend of mine through Ice & Fuel West. He became a friend when I needed one the most. We talked about hockey & Diana & Yuri for hours. He was loving and proud with his family. I loved hearing his stories. He was one of the nicest, most genuine persons I've ever met. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May peace be yours.

Our condolences to John's family. We met John when we all worked at K-mart. We all became friends and we have fond memories of the bowling league and of his big car (with the plastic seat covers)! He was the best man at our wedding and we'll always remember his touching wedding toast. Unfortunately, we lost touch over the years, but will always remember him as a kind and thoughtful man.

My condolences to all of John's family. John was truly a man of true integrity and there was never anything phony about him whatsoever. Some of the very best discussions I have ever had with anyone were with John. My heart is tremendously saddened by his passing. I guess God needed a player/coach for Heavens hockey team so they called on John. I consider myself a real avid hockey fan but there was no bigger fan then John. God Bless you John and John's family. You will be really missed.
