Not sure what to say?

Forever the gentleman

It´s hard to believe 8 years have passed ; I can still see his wonderful smile and gentlemanly manners.

Joan and family, I still remember our youth and good times shared with Jay and others who left us too soon.

Wishing you loving memories of
53 years well spent.

Dear Joan and the entire family,
From Oakcrest Drive (still), we are sending our sympathy and prayers for you. John was a neighbor and a SI colleague, we both have good memories.

Sincerely,
Mary Rosenfeld Thomas and George Thomas

Dear Joan,
I am so very, very sorry to learn of Jay's death. The last I heard from Mary was that you had moved to Winchester and were building a new house. I guess I am too much of a loner these days. Jay was such a nice person and, I am sure, a good husband and father. My sympathies to you and your family. Best wishes.

Joan, we are sorry to hear of the passing of John. I had the pleasure of working with him during my 22 years at the Smithsonian, the last 15 years as his supervisor, in the old BMD and OPLANTS. I enjoyed his knowledge and sense of humor. He will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Jay's passing and that we learned of it too late to attend the funeral. Our prayers are with your family. He was a lovely man and we know he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace. God bless.

Joan and Sharon (and the rest of the family), Allie and Charlie join me in extending our condolences to you. Jay helped make Grandkids' Camp a lasting memory for all of us. His humor and his deep concern for others will live on in our hearts.
