I was privileged to have met your dad while working at Cunningham Optical. He had an uncanny familiarity to my own dad. He had wonderful stories to share about Ireland and his family. I greatly enjoyed his visits and talking with him. I know he was deeply saddened by the passing of your mom. My heart goes out to all of you.

As a little girl, I thought there was no one more handsome than my Uncle John. Also, his Boston/Irish background certainly added "color" to our Spencer gatherings.
Scott, Mike, and Katherine, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
We will always be at Grandma and Grandpa's farm playing while the grown ups are inside talking. I can hear your Dad's voice even now sharing his opinions.
Much later, as an adult, I watched him take care of my wonderful, sweet Aunt Ellen and I took on a whole new respect for my Uncle John.
His handsome face, his strong opinons, his love for my aunt--this is what I will carry in my heart about my Uncle John.
Love, Ricki, a Spencer
