I will always cherish the time I spent with you and Jane on the farm. My thoughts and sympathies are with Jane and rest of your family as I am sure the loss of such a wonderful man has brought them much grief. Thank you for your kindness, your service to our country, and thank you for sharing your life with me. Love always, Lydia

May your loved one soar on Eagles wings for the Great Courage HE has shown,
Our Freedom which HE fought for and His love of country for which he gave.
