Not sure what to say?

Father Murphy was the most loved, admired, and revered priest that most of us will ever know. He had an unforgettable laugh, and a sense of humor, and optimism that was contagious. I'm proud to say I served many a mass as an altar boy for Father Murphy, back in the early 60s at Saint James. He was my favorite priest, among some great ones, and he still is. He helped our family, and so many others,in our hour of need. He represents all that is good in the Catholic Church to me, and ranks right...

Thank you Father Murphy for your devotion to St. Patrick's Parish, your kind words and your welcoming smile. You will be missed. May you have found your peace with the Lord.

How can one describe such a wonderful human being that gave so much to everyone he touched. You Father Murphy will never be forgotten, you have instilled in so many of us that grew up in Saint James parish the meaning of our faith and love for each other. How blessed St. Patrick's was to get such a good man. May you rest in peace with the angels!

"Hello Konupkie, good to see you again!" I will miss those words. Rest in peace Father. You never forgot a soul and no one will ever forget you. You will be missed.

We are thankful to you for all the daily noon masses and Adoration, from which we have been eternally blessed.

Thank you for the Hospice patients and their families who's grief you lessened by responding to the need for Sacramental Annointing at their hour of death.

And thank you for serving and witnessing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, beyond any one geographical area, touching the lives of...

There aren't enough kind words to express what a wonderful man Fr. Murphy was. Twelve years in St. Patrick's School and Father was a very positive, caring, loving priest that accepted us for who we were. His wonderful sense of humor, his inspiring words, and his beautiful smile will remain in my memories forever. As an adult, I would run into Father once in a while at the grocery store or out and about in town, and he always remembered exactly who I was (name and all). I always thought how...

Father Murphy played a very large roll in my life growing up. He was there for my first communion, my wedding, my niece's funeral, and my son's baptism. He was a wonderful man and I really enjoyed the presence he brought with him wherever he went. He will be very missed.

St. Pat's was in our neighborhood when we lived in Catskill. Sometimes we would go for walks and see Father Murphy working outside. He also was very supportive of whatever the choir wanted to sing during Mass. We always had our version of songs that we would sing, which was a new and improved version from what was in the hymnals. Father Murphy brings back some wonderful memories.
I am saddened by what is happening in Catskill, and to St. Pat's in particular. My current parish is...

I was working for St. Patrick's when I became ill and was hospitalized for an extended period of time..four months to be exact. Fr. Murphy paid me all during that time, so that my family didn't go without. We will always honor, appreciate and love him for that. "Everybody's Here", but were all missing you, Father Murphy!
