Not sure what to say?

I first met John Nyce when I was nine years old and he was the Pack Leader for Cub Scout Pack 7 at Germantown Boys' Club. Mr. Nyce later worked with Mr. Charles A. Gottsabend, the original Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop #7 Mr. Charles Gottsabend, along with other great volunteers including Auggie Petrucci, John Pigeon, Joe Kendra and Mike Gillespie. Troop #7 was one of the oldest troops in BSA Mr. Nyce also assisted Mr. Robert Riggs with the Lenni Lenape indianlore group at GBC and...

I am very sorry to hear about your dad. I did not know him personally but I have heard a lot about him.I know the Boys Club was thriving when I went there in early 70's. Your dad took over the club in the tougher years when the neighborhood changed and after the fire. Your Dad did the tough work and kept the club viable during the difficult years. I know he touched the lives of many children. The Club would never have survived without the dedication of Mr. Nyce. Selfless people like your dad...

Yes, I knew your father. What a great man he was, so generous of
spirit.

I knew you too, Mike, but it has been many years.

My family moved to Germantown in 1955. Our father was in the Army
stationed in France, and we lived there for a few years. We moved into
38 W. Penn Street, right across from the Boys' Club. A year later we
moved around the corner to Coulter Street. My family stayed in that
house until 1969, when they moved to the...

My heart and soul is heavy to hear of your lost. John (Mr Nyce) was a dear friend and a second father to me and countless others at the Germantown Boy's and Girl's Club. His place in heaven was stamped long ago. My prayers and condolences to the family. With Love for him always.

John Nyce was a man who devoted a large part of his life to helping others….. John Nyce selflessly devoted more than 30 years to the the kids of Germantown through his work at the Germantown Boys and Girls club….. So many people loved this man….. He was the soccer coach…… the Indian Room Chief… softball and baseball coach……..the gardender ……. and the outdoosrman at Camp Indiandale…… the man who put many kids on the right track. He gave them a place to grow and learn and have friends and be...

Dear Bill and Jane,

Indeed I am so sorry to hear about Jane's father. I know how she feels but Norm and I are sole survivors of our families. It is so traumatic and final. I will say starting with my little sister, there is not a day of my life that they are not with me constantly. It's never the same, but the closeness is always there and they are never forgotten. God bless you both and Jane's dear father.

Love and prayers,

Mr. & mrs. Pollock

DAD....WE BOTH LOVE AND MISS YOU!

With deep sympathy for the family, we express our sincere gratitude for a lifetime of contribution to the Germantown Boys & Girls Club.

Sending my condolences to the family.

A friend of Jane & Bill
