Sgt Major Osborne,

I met the SgtMajor during our deployment during Desert Storm. His leadership during this time was instrumental to the success of the mission. He was a "Marines, Marine". Always loyal to the Corp and to his men. He will be missed. RIP Sgt. Major. Semper Fi.

It is with great sorrow that we, who knew Sgt Major Osborne, will no longer have his steadfast physical presence and loyal to the Corps oversight at the Houston MCCC. His bond to the Marine Corps community rose higher than the most ardent Marines. We who had the opportunity to work with him over the years will always remember how his fervent stewardship always played a role in everything that was happening in the Greater Houston Marine Corps Community. God bless you, SgtMajor and condolences to all of his family.

Bob was one-of-a-kind. He was a smart technician at the AT&T National Central Office in Houston and, later, a valued manager with SBC Advanced Solutions, Inc. He was authentic and always refreshingly honest. Rest in peace, Bob. May the Lord bless those loved ones closest to you with peace and comfort, knowing that this world is a better place for all the good you did.

Top, first sergeant, and sergeant major was how I knew Bob Osborne. A Marine's Marine, he guided many Marines and Navy Corpsman. As one said, he left this world early, but he gave it his all. No doubt, he has assumed his post on heaven's streets He will be missed.
