Dear Lydia, John and Doreen, I want you to know your Husband and Father was the most dedicated man I know when it came to caring about the youth of East Boston. Hockey and EBYHA in particular would not have existed if it wasn't for men like John. Eye surgery this past week made it impossible for me to be present to express my condolences but I want you to know although sadness is great at the present time, Gods calling is at any time and he truly has welcomed a great man into his Kingdom....

I had the Honor to serve on the East Boston Youth Hockey Board with John as our President . It ws always the Kids first with John . He wore East Boston on his sleeve.Like his Heart . Always making sure we got a fair deal. Under his leadership the program grew in #"s.The program traveled to tournament in Montreal, Lake Placid , and of course our big End of the year Coca- Cola Tournament in Marlboro In which we took our whole program .
