Not sure what to say?

Captain Pasko pinned my dolphins. I remember He pulled us in without tugs on Christmas Day

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I must apologize to all who read this. I was just browsing and thought I would see what "Mr. Pasko" was up to, and to my dismay, I learned he had passed. John was my Division Officer when I reported to USS TULLIBEE as the Chief Radioman. I clearly remember his quick wit, honesty, and dedication to making things right. He was one of the people who inspired me to seek a commission as a Limited Duty Officer, which changed my career and my life. The Submarine Force, the U.S. Navy, and the World...

Dear Shelley and the Pasko family, We were sad to learn about your loss. Please accept our condolences. As we reflect on the years when our families were together in Annapolis, it makes us feel so fortunate that our paths crossed. We are fulled with respect and admiration for 'Captain Pasko.' He was strong but still so kind and thoughtful. He led a life that was more than just a great example ... it was an inspiration. The Pasko family is in our thoughts and prayer. Warm regards, the Novaks

We are so sorry for your loss. I have alot of great memories working with John. He was a truly great Submarine Commanding Officer. Capt Pasko taught us how to be confident and competent Naval officers. His calm demeanor and brilliant guidance for operations of the sub were a pleasure to experience. He always seemed to enjoy his life of a submarine commander, which as one of his Junior Officers made our wardroom so much better, closer and fun. He will be missed.

We were so very sorry to learn of John`s passing. I am also very sorry that we can not attend the funeral but please know that we will be thinking of you on what will surely be a day full of emotions for you and your children.. with love and pond remembrances of a wonderful, very special man...

John had a quick wit he tried to keep hidden on the boat. He was easy to look up to because of his understated competence. He did not need to be first, but could lead the way. SSN697 86-90.

I had the privilege of working with John at the DNFSB. He was a tremendous co-worker and great man. The world has lost one of those rare men who makes a difference in the lives of everyone who meets him.
