Dr. Patterson married my husband and I, Sept 19, 1977 in our home in Bryant e were members of Hatcher Memorial until we moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC in 1985. Pat, you were my Sunday school teacher for a while. Our son, Jacob was dedicated in a baby service at Hatcher by Dr. Patterson. I loved his wisdom and his humor. He always walked with us, not above or below, just comfortably at our side. I was proud to have him join us in marraige and lead us in faith. Blessings to you, Pat, and your family. This is sad news. I take this opportunity to send my condolences on behalf of my family. The Patterson's family were our neighbors in Cali, Colombia, during the early 60's. We, the Baena family, have fond memories of all. It is a pitty our families lost track of one another so long ago. Hope all is well for you all.

Dear Pat, Joe Vaughn told us about Dr. Patterson's passing on Sunday. We would have come to the service if we had known. You know how much he meant to both of us. He was the one God used to lead me into the ministry. When our daughter Julie was fighting cancer in 2007, she said she was looking forward to "the next phase of her life." Jack is now beginning the next phase of his life.
We love you, Glen and Kay

I am a member of Hardy Central Baptist Church in Varina. Dr. Patterson preached some AWESOME sermons at our church during the illness of our pastor. Loved his messages - and seeing his family come with him! Mrs. Patterson is a beautiful woman - always a smile on her face. I know that she is still smiling because she knows Dr. Patterson is with Jesus.

God Bless you all - Jane Wynn

Dr. Patterson assisted me in the grief period when I lost one of my favorite aunts to Multiple Systems Atrophy disease. He gave me the book 90 Minutes in Heaven. It was a wonderful way to share his belief. Of course he's there now for eternity and I know he's happy and loved. But I will miss him.

Jack was Director of Missions of PBA but was my pastor. I met him in the early 80's and he immediately became my mentor. We were together often in meetings and his encouragement meant so much. A favorite time for Ramona and me was to met Jack and Pat for breakfast and we have missed that since leaving Virginia. Our prayers for Pat and the family continue. He is one of the first I expect to see in Heaven because of our precious Saviour.

Pat and Family, The Barnes Family in Fort Worth, TX, send our heartfelt expressions of sympathy in the passing Dr. Jack. We fondly remember how much he cared for his flock at Gambrell Street Baptist Church, Fort Worth, and for our family. Our hearts are saddened at news of Dr. Jack's passing, but our hearts are enthralled at the many recollections of his personal ministries to our family over the years, even as recently as a year or so ago, after he would note a concern listed in our church newsletter, The Messenger. He was faithful to call to inquire of our well-being, and to give us a word of encouragement. May The Lord of All Comfort abide with you all in these days, and make His Presence known. Ken and Brenda Barnes (Jennifer and Cynthia).

To Pat and family, You all are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this time of homecoming of your husband and father. He was such an inspiration and mentor to my husband throughout my husband's ministry. We always enjoyed spending time over dinner when we happened to be visiting near where Jack was. I know Ken was probably one of the first people to meet Jack as he entered heaven. What a day of rejoicing that was and will be for us as well!
