Not sure what to say?

So very sorry to learn of Johnny's death. He was a friend for life. We enjoyed many adventures together -- from hiking, band trips, snow sledging, etc. We "grew up" together. He will be missed. Frank

Forever young at heart, I will always remember the time when we jumped around and behaved like kids in the blow up bouncy house at the Friends of the Library picnic. People said we were too old, but we proved them wrong lol. (I need to find that video.) I miss you dearly, John. Such a warm kind soul.

John was a dear friend and a true Southern Gentleman. He was gentle, kind, articulate, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a he;ping hand. he will be sorely missed.

I worked with John for many years. Always professional, always nice. May he rest in peace...

I worked with John at at the WECO plant on Laburnum and respected him so much. My condolences to his family....I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to hear of my friend´s passing. We often ran into one another at grocery store parking lots and those chance meetings were always full of great conversations and were never short. John came to our annual antique sales at our home and he gradually acquired many items belonging to an uncle of mine that he displayed at local events pertaining to the Second World War. My moments shared with him were enjoyable and very pleasant. He will be missed by all who knew him. Art Ritter

We were always so appreciative of his thoughtfulness and interest in sharing our family genealogy. His kind spirit is treasured.

Prayers and comfort to the family. Dee and Kay Payne Staton Lexington, Va
