Not sure what to say?

Just learned this today. Great song writer, wonderful songs. I was especially blessed by his daughter's beautiful harmonies when they formed The Peterson Trio.

When my wife was a church secretary over thirty years ago, she and a colleague were laughing over some incident when the phone rang. She was still laughing when she answered. Upon discovering it was John W. Peterson, she apologized for laughing but he told her, "You made my day. It's good to hear someone laughing."

Having sung in youth choirs and having worked with church sound and lighting for many years, I was privileged to hear a great number of John W. Peterson's songs and...

We first heard John's music when we attended Westmont college. When he moved to Scottsdale what a privilege to get to know him and Marie. His music reflected the scriptures and the message will go on for years to come. He was a great S.S. teacher and we learned so much from him. My prayers are for Marie and the family in the days ahead. Love, Janice

I learned of your music when I was in junior high through my Christian mother and have used it through the years to the present. You were a gift to us to spread Christianity and your music will continue to thrill humanity til kingdom come

The Holy Spirit inspired John over the years to write beautiful music with powerful lyrics. We had the privilege of playing his songs recorded by various Christian artists on our Northwestern College Radio Network over the years. He brought a new sound and a new song (as the Psalmist says) to our airwaves blessing thousands of listeners. His songs were at the core of our music format for many years.

On a personal note, I'll never forget hearing "It Took a Miracle" for the first time....

My heart fell this morning when I saw the news of John's passing in the newspapers. There are no words to express the way I feel. I have had the honor and pleasure of singing his wonderful music for many years. His music will live on forever as will our love for him. May God Bless him as he goes to make music for the Master! There will never be another John Peterson!

Sincerely,
