Not sure what to say?

Many DC tours were enjoyable because of sharing them with John. My thoughts are with his family. What a loss...

Mrs. Pontius, I'm so sorry I couldn't attend the service today. I have a huge boot on my ankle as the result of a fall, and I'm having a lot of difficulty getting around. But, I loved John! It was always a joy to see him and share a laugh. I also served as Region I Convener and he was a big help to me in getting to know people in the region and around the Diocese. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family. D'Oniece Dillard (Epiphany, DC)

Dear Ruth and Nick,
What a beautiful gathering today for your family. Our love and friendship goes way back. My love and prayers are with you always. God bless John for his welcoming spirit. He will be missed. Peace

My condolences to the Pontius family. Mr. Pontius was very active in school activities while I attended Brent Elementary with his son Nick.

God bless you John. Thank you for all the kindness, support, and love you showed me and for welcoming me into the Yeas & Nays family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Ruth, and Nick.

Ruth:

May John rest In Peace.

Our condolences.

March 1978 the memories will last.

Ruth, Nick, and Family: John was one of my best friends during my 20 years in Washington. I also enjoyed our many phone conversations after I returned to New York. I will always be most grateful to have been one of his many friends.
