Mr. Popoff was a friend of my dad, Lee Jacobson. My dad called him "Big John" Popoff and always had good things to say about him. I saw Mr. Popoff a few times and was also very impressed. A fine, fine man who should never be forgotten.

Hello My thoughts and prayers are with you on this very sad occasion. I think we are related. My mother was a Sohrakoff (Nettie) and my dad was Manuel Fernandez, and they also grew up in Sheridan, CA. I have lost all contact with most relatives.I am related to many Popoff's I think.

My dad, Lee Jacobson, knew Mr. Popoff and always spoke highly of him. Called him "Big John". I'm not sure how they knew each other, possibly golf? But I extend my thoughts to you at this time.
