John E. "Jay" Reid

Jay was our insurance agent for many years. Great personality. A friend you could always cout on. Condolances to Pat and family.

I was first introduced to Jay right after my husband and I were married over 30 years ago, as Jay was my husbands insurance agent. Jay was also my husbands parents agent too so we have had a long relationship as a State Farm Ageny as well as a man who always had a kind word or would raze us about the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he knew we were huge fans. Long before meeting him in person, I heard the word "gentleman" used in conjunction with Jay Reid. Those of us privileged to know him are better for the experience and our lives enriched. Jay epitomized honor & integrity & family values.

Jay was my parents' insurance agent, and mine as well from the time I was old enough to drive. He was always available, kind, knowledgeable and honest. I am sorry to hear of his passing. Our community is poorer without him.

Pat and family: I enjoyed working with Jay as an insurance agent and always heard kind words about him from the family. I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

Jay was our agent for more than 20 years and was a wonderful, caring, helpful man. He served his clients and this community well. He was great man.

Pat and family, Dave and I both want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Jay was such a good man and Dave was honored to be his State Farm brother. We are out of the area at this time otherwise we would be in attendance on Thursday. We will certainly be think of you and your family.

Jay will truly be missed. I am honored to have known him and his family. My condolances go out to Pat and his family.
