A-lan, I was sitting here reminiscing about my time at Raytheon and your name came up. I know we didn't end on great terms, but I always respected you. You were a very bright young woman and I was so sorry to hear about the death of your husband. I'm sure he had to be one very special gentleman. I met John during Mobil Oil's Geophysical Training Program held in Dallas, Texas in 1979. It was an honor that John asked me to be in his wedding so soon after we met and became good friends. The wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful, tranquil meadow just north of San Francisco where A-Lan's parents lived. This was a marriage for life that was made in Heaven. A-Lan and Janel - I am so terribly sad to hear about John. He was an incredible person, the best mentor and teacher, and a dear friend.
