Saratoga Springs, NY - John Michael Ripton, 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 23, 1959 in Batavia, NY, he was the son of the late Irene and Jack Ripton. A loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan Spencer-Ripton; two children, Wyatt Michael Ripton and Carly Jean Ripton; three sisters, two brothers, three half-brothers; two nephews, four nieces; three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law Jean Spencer and his beloved chiweenie, Jackson.

Owner of the Fairtrade Business Services, Inc., he was a beloved football coach and a diehard Buffalo Bills football fan.

Relatives and friends may call from 10am to 12noon Saturday (May 19, 2018) at the Burke/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).

A funeral service will be conducted at 12noon and burial will follow in Greenridge Cem.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude-Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mike my brother, words cannot begin to express my sorrow at hearing of your passing. I will always remember our time in Florida as "neighbors." Those times are burned into my memory forever. Hey Ripper, We sure had some good times. I showed you the neighborhood - you road on the back of my bike when you moved in as a kid and you never let me forget it. Remember when you bought that van and we carpeted the walls - we thought that was cool! The golden rule was I couldn't go out with any of your sisters because we were best buds. I sure enjoyed cruising in that Fury of yours when I didn't have a car. That downstairs bedroom you had in the basement was great for sneaking out or...
