Saratoga Springs, NY - John Michael Ripton, 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 23, 1959 in Batavia, NY, he was the son of the late Irene and Jack Ripton. A loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan Spencer-Ripton; two children, Wyatt Michael Ripton and Carly Jean Ripton; three sisters, two brothers, three half-brothers; two nephews, four nieces; three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law Jean Spencer and his beloved chiweenie, Jackson.
Owner of the Fairtrade Business Services, Inc., he was a beloved football coach and a diehard Buffalo Bills football fan.
Relatives and friends may call from 10am to 12noon Saturday (May 19, 2018) at the Burke/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).
A funeral service will be conducted at 12noon and burial will follow in Greenridge Cem.
Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude-Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mike my brother, words cannot begin to express my sorrow at hearing of your passing. I will always remember our time in Florida as "neighbors." Those times are burned into my memory forever. I know we will see each other again. That belief will sustain me until we see each other again. God keep you in his arms. Love you Mike.

Hey Ripper, We sure had some good times. I showed you the neighborhood - you road on the back of my bike when you moved in as a kid and you never let me forget it. Remember when you bought that van and we carpeted the walls - we thought that was cool! The golden rule was I couldn't go out with any of your sisters because we were best buds.
