Not sure what to say?

I so often think of John, his wife and sons. I was so privileged to watch his three sons grow up and to spend many happy hours at Blue Heron. I think what I miss most about John is the enthusiasm with which he encouraged and endorsed my work as an educator. He made many people believe in themselves, a rare gift indeed.

I was very saddened to recently learn of Mr. Ritter's passing. He was an excellent teacher and always found a way to incorporate his great sense of humor into the lesson plan. Part of his legacy are all the students that had the privelege of having him as an instructor. Thank you, Mr. Ritter.

I am very sorry to hear of his passing he was a great teacher. Parkland grad. 1980. Eileen Hunt Warner ( Atlanta,Ga.)

What a comforting thought that in all of you is a piece of John.

I am very sorry to learn of Mr. Ritter's passing. I remember him fondly as one of the best teachers I had the pleasure of having @ PHS. "Out damn spot" - Macbeth will live forever in my mind. Thanks Mr. R...:)

Lynn and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. You have had a tough fight, one that you never backed down from. Your family showed admirable courage, faith and strength. John can feel proud of his family and all of his accomplishments - a life well lived. Take care, everyone.

Lynn and family, I am so sorry for the loss of such a great man. As I read his guest book I realized that there was so much more to John. Although we discussed our fondness of gardening, I am saddened that I did not know all the other wonderful details of his life.
As a caregiver it is sometimes difficult to not open your heart more because the reality is you know this person has a horrible disease and you know that they will not survive it. I am greatful that I did see John here with...

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Ritter's family and friends. I was a creative writing student of his at PHS and absolutely adored him and his class. He was a great man, a beloved and caring educator and a truly inspiring person. He will be remembered well. God Bless, you Mr. Ritter! Thanks for everything!

Dear Lynn and Family,
I was saddened to hear about John's passing from Tom Ritter yesterday. My family joins me in sending our sincerest condolences at this difficult time. John was a great son, husband, father, relative to us, colleague and teacher. Wow, what powerful testimonies from his former students! You're in my thoughts and prayers.
With sympathy and love.
