John Ritter

John was a kind man who gave good advice and encouragement to young teachers. He had a great influence on my development as a teacher, and I often sought him out for his insight and opinions when I needed help. And he was an amazing gardener! He had the most perfect lawn I had ever seen in my life. Rest in peace John.

I was so sad to hear of Dr. Ritter´s passing. John hired me for my first job at Garces in 1990 and was my Vice Principal for many years offering encouragement and support. I remember him always wearing his three piece suit and being very professional. He would even pick up trash on the campus if he saw it laying around. My deepest condolences to the girls and grandchildren of this great wonderful man. I met John when he and Kathy arrived in Bakersfield where John was a brief substitute at Sierra Junior HIgh where I was teaching. What a wonderful impact he had in all of education. Blessings, Nancy Ann Dunn
